Corporate partners have access to the following benefits:
- Access pioneering academic research and expertise in areas of climate change, water scarcity, and greenhouse gas emissions: The Center for Sustainable Cities annually publishes a yearly report and several research briefs that serve as both planning tools and industry resources on developing sustainability practices in a corporate setting.
- Mentor students: The Center for Sustainable Cities engages students at both the undergraduate and graduate level. Corporate partners can recruit interns and new employees from this pool of highly-talented students from a variety disciplines, including: public administration, urban planning, real estate development, and public policy.
- Guest lecture in the classroom: The Center for Sustainable Cities welcomes corporate executives to share real-world sustainability experience in both undergraduate and graduate courses. Alternatively, corporations can invite students to a site tour to share knowledge in the field. In addition to hosting guest speakers in the classroom, corporate executives can host students on site to conduct case studies in the field.
- Convene with other industry leaders: The Center continually seeks to translate academic research into real-world sustainability solutions. In working toward that vision, the Center regularly brings together corporate executives from a variety of industries, allowing these sustainability leaders to discuss best practices, challenges, and trends within corporate sustainability.
The USC Center for Sustainable Cities aims to provide research and education on the challenges of making cities more sustainable. This goal cannot be achieved without guidance and support from individuals and corporate partners.
